Registry Hacks for USB Security

USB Drives are one of the major tool through which data transfer takes place. In order to
protect your data from getting stolen from you computer with the help of a USB drive you can
make the USB drives read only. Go to

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies  and create a new DWORD value ‘WriteProtect ‘ and set its
value to 1. This will enable you to read from USB drives, but you won’t be able to copy data to it.

How to hide whole drive partition in Windows 7/8/8.1/10

Step 1: Find the drive partition which you want to hide (except your windows installation partition). Step 2: Go to start and search for Computer Management  Step 3: In the left panel go to Disk Management and right click on your partition which you want to hide. Step 4: Click on Change Drive Letter and Paths... and from there click on Remove.  Step 5: Go to My Computer and Refresh it.  Now Your Selected Partition is Not showing there. Done !!!

Select any folder and right click on it to select ‘Pin to Start Menu’ while holding Shift key.
